Embracing Mindful Living: The Bokashi Experience
In the midst of the pandemic chaos, the LYD group stumbled upon an unexpected opportunity, birthing Bokashi. It all started as a simple solution to use surplus crops from their organic farm in Bedugul. Little did they know, this seed of an idea would blossom into a multifaceted venture, embracing a holistic approach to sustainable living. Today, Bokashi is more than just a café; it's a sanctuary promoting a lifestyle of self-care and enjoyment. Drawing inspiration from the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, it offers a serene escape from the frenetic pace of everyday life. Here, visitors can savor wholesome dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients or enjoy mindful grocery shopping.

SUSTAINABLE & LOCAL SOURCING
Bokashi doesn't just talk the talk; they walk the walk. Partnering with kind spirits who share their sustainability ethos, they curate a range of natural products, reflecting their dedication to environmental responsibility. From salt harvested by local artisans to honey straight from nearby farms, every ingredient tells a story of community and conscious consumption.
WASTE MANAGEMENT
The mission extends far beyond the plate. With waste reduction at the forefront, they've created an eco-friendly haven, where shoppers are encouraged to embrace better choices. Think bulk shopping with reusable containers and canvas bags, all aimed at slashing single-use plastics and lightening the environmental load.
In a place like Bali, where waste pollution looms large, Bokashi's commitment takes on a deeper significance. They recognize the interconnectedness of business, tourism, and environmental well-being, championing a vision of a future-proof lifestyle. Through their innovative waste management strategies, they not only lessen their footprint but also inspire others to follow suit.
STAFF ENGAGEMENT & COMMUNITY SUPPORT
And let's not forget about the unsung heroes behind the scenes: the staff. More than just employees; they're champions of the brand's values. Through comprehensive education and training, they become ambassadors of sustainability, guiding customers on a journey towards conscious living.
But perhaps what sets Bokashi apart is its unique dedication to community empowerment. By supporting local suppliers and farmers, they not only nourish bodies but also nurture livelihoods. Chef Jethro Vincent, a local himself, epitomizes this ethos, infusing every dish with a dash of community spirit.
