How Treelogy
Cultivates a Better Future through Regenerative Farming
In the tranquil landscapes of northeast Bali, you'll find Treelogy, a Moringa farm devoted to regenerative agriculture, community empowerment, and sustainable development. Founded by Sacha Aguila, the brand is committed to producing the highest quality Moringa while upholding the core values of People Care, Earth Care, and Future Care, inspired by the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana and permaculture ethics.

THE FOUNDATION: A LEGACY ROOTED IN MORINGA
Treelogy’s story is closely connected to Sacha’s family heritage. Decades ago, Sacha’s grandfather introduced Moringa to impoverished villages in Burkina Faso, combating malnutrition with its nutrient-rich properties. This legacy continues through Treelogy, which honors the plant’s cultural and spiritual significance in Bali, where Moringa is cherished for its health benefits and protective qualities.
BEYONG ORGANIC, A REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE
Treelogy’s farming practices go beyond the organic label. Regenerative agriculture, as practiced by Treelogy, seeks not only to sustain but to enhance the health of the soil, the ecosystem, and the community. Sacha points out that while organic farming avoids chemicals, it can still fall short if it doesn't focus on soil regeneration and biodiversity.
At the farm, compost is crafted in-house using manure from their own chickens and goats, and coconut husks are repurposed as mulch to protect the soil from the harsh sun. This holistic approach ensures that the farm works in harmony with nature, enhancing soil fertility and supporting diverse plant and animal life.
EMPOWERING FARMERS & THE COMMUNITY
Central to Treelogy’s mission is the well-being of its farmers. Sacha believes that farmers should be revered just as teachers are, given their crucial role in feeding the world. To this end, the company pays its workers 40% above the regional minimum wage, ensuring they thrive rather than merely survive. The farm also encourages a multigenerational workforce, creating a supportive community where knowledge and skills are passed down and shared.
INNOVATIVE REGENERATIVE APPROACHES TO SUSTAINABILITY
Treelogy shows its dedication to sustainability through its meticulous farming and production practices, ensuring every step aligns with its eco-friendly ethos. Harvesting Moringa at dawn, processing it with care, and packaging it sustainably in tin cans are just a few of the steps Treelogy takes to preserve the nutritional integrity of its products. These practices are designed to minimize environmental impact while maximizing the health benefits of Moringa.
However, Sacha prefers the term "regenerative" over "sustainable," as sustainability often implies maintaining the status quo. Regenerative practices, on the other hand, aim to rejuvenate and restore, creating a more resilient and vibrant ecosystem.
OVERCOMING CHALLENGES & PIONEERING CHANGE
Adopting regenerative practices comes with its challenges. From managing pests naturally to navigating unpredictable climate patterns, Treelogy has had to remain patient and adaptive. Yet, these challenges are seen as opportunities to learn and evolve, with their farm serving as an open-source R&D hub where communities can seek solutions for addressing tomorrow's agricultural problems.
Looking ahead, the brand aspires to be more than just a successful business. Sacha envisions Treelogy as a model for regenerative agriculture, demonstrating that ethical farming can be both financially viable and beneficial for the planet.
Treelogy’s approach to regenerative farming celebrates the power of thoughtful, ethical practices that care for the earth, the community, and future generations. By transforming their farm into a living example of what’s possible, Sacha and his team are leading the way toward a better future in Bali and beyond, one Moringa leaf at a time.
