Treelogy is more than a brand; it’s a force reintroducing Bali’s forgotten superfood to the world by making the finest and most ethical moringa products. But what does that truly mean? It means purity, resilience, and well-being–qualities at the heart of every product made from the powerful moringa tree. Rooted in Bali’s volcanic foothills, Treelogy represents a philosophy that makes use of regenerative principles in every step, from cultivation to crafting, resulting in moringa that goes beyond the highest standards of quality and care.
Sacha Aguila, the founder of Treelogy, hails from New Caledonia and has been involved with moringa since childhood. 40 years ago, his grandfather’s foundation introduced moringa to villages in Burkina Faso to combat malnutrition. This mission has grown into Treelogy, where every capsule, powder, and oil shows the commitment to healing both people and the land. During the pandemic, Sacha and his mother observed Bali’s heavy reliance on tourism and saw in this miracle tree not just a solution but a path to a healthier future.
PEOPLE CARE, EARTH CARE & FUTURE CARE
Treelogy draws its inspiration from the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, a celebration of harmony among people, nature, and spirit. This guiding principle, paired with Treelogy’s dedication to permaculture practices, shapes its mission. People Care is focused on the well-being of everyone involved–from customers to farmers–by taking full ownership of every step, to guarantee quality and integrity in each product. Earth Care supports regenerative practices, working in symbiosis with nature, and building an ecosystem strong enough to face climate challenges.
Future Care envisions Treelogy’s farm as an incubator for future generations, where agriculture not only preserves the land but cultivates knowledge and skills for tomorrow’s leaders. By setting new standards in transparency and ethical practices, This framework embraces a holistic approach to care, sowing seeds of positive change that ripple through the community.
THE MANY BENEFITS OF 'THE MIRACLE TREE'
Moringa, known locally as kelor, rightfully earns its title as the “miracle tree” for its remarkable health benefits. Thriving with minimal water, moringa produces leaves, packed with 13 vitamins, 10 minerals, 46 antioxidants, 36 anti-inflammatory, and all nine essential amino acids. Each nutrient-dense leaf strengthens the immune system, promotes healthy skin, and supports clear vision. Rich in calcium and iron, moringa helps maintain strong bones and boosts energy levels. Its powerful antioxidants protect against oxidative stress, while anti-inflammatory properties ease chronic inflammation, and its fiber content aids digestion. Treelogy’s commitment to cultivating the highest quality moringa ensures holistic nourishment for both body and spirit.
BEYOND SUSTAINABILITY: A REGENERATIVE APPROACH
For Sacha, sustainability is only the beginning. Treelogy embraces regenerative practices that not only preserve but actively enrich and restore the land’s health. By embedding the use of animals, harvesting rainwater, producing compost, repurposing coconut husks as mulch, and inviting wildlife back to the ecosystem, he renews the soil to ensure its health, resilience, and productivity. This approach creates a connection with the land, turning farming into a life-giving cycle. Treelogy provides a resilient foundation for long-term environmental health by continually refining the soil and ecosystem.
METICULOUS PROCESS FOR OPTIMAL QUALITY
Each morning, as dawn breaks, Treelogy’s farmers hand-harvest moringa leaves, which are then separated from their stems by local women–a crucial ritual to preserve potency. On the farm, the leaves undergo a thorough wash before entering a dehydration process, where they are gently dried at a precise 38 degrees Celsius for 22 hours, locking in their nutritional essence. Once fully dehydrated, the leaves are transformed into a fine powder and packaged in reusable tins at their nearby BPOM-certified facility, naturally extending their shelf life without preservatives.
STRONG ETHICS IN BUSINESS OPERATIONS
Treelogy’s strong ethical principles can be seen in its exceptional moringa products and commitment to fair working conditions. Sacha’s commitment goes beyond minimum wage standards, offering a salary that stands 40% above the regional average. This way not only ensures fair compensation but also creates a workplace culture that encourages future generations to embrace the tradition of farming. Each morning, family members unite across generations collaborating on various tasks and creating a culture of shared prosperity. Treelogy’s devotion to ethical practices enhances product quality while making a profound impact on the community, promoting collective growth and well-being for all.
APPROACHING CLIMATE CHALLENGES
Confronting climate change demands patience and observation. At Treelogy, implementing regenerative practices means listening to nature’s rhythms and exploring forgotten traditional solutions combined with innovative solutions, a journey that often presents its own sets of challenges. Navigating natural pest management and adapting to climate variability–like prolonged rains that influence moringa growth–forms an essential part of this endeavor.
Yet, regenerative agriculture is more than adaptation; it actively revitalizes soil health, amplifies carbon capture, and promotes biodiversity. These practices mitigate the impacts of climate change and environmental stresses. Sacha perceives these efforts as fundamental to long-term self-sufficiency, showing how regeneration can significantly provide a stronger, more resilient agricultural system
