Rain Ponchos Made out of Recycled Plastic Bottles
365DRY was created by a Bali-based team troubled by local plastic pollution. They aimed to replace disposable plastic ponchos with a durable, sustainable alternative. Despite challenges, they developed a stylish, long-lasting poncho to combat plastic waste. Inspired by seeing plastic waste at festivals, they also aim to address the problem of single-use ponchos at large events.

SUSTAINABILITY MANAGEMENT
365DRY aims to replace disposable plastic ponchos with a sustainable alternative. With 300 million tonnes of plastic produced annually and only 10-13% reused, they address the environmental impact by creating reusable rain ponchos made from 40 recycled plastic bottles each. Supporting the #PassOnPlastic movement, they use innovative materials to repurpose discarded bottles. The team, passionate about both fashion and environmental responsibility, integrates sustainability into every aspect of their business and is committed to transparency and ongoing improvement.
SUSTAINABLE & RESPONSIBLE SOURCING
365 Dry Rain Ponchos are made from REPREVE® fiber, a certified eco-friendly material. While some small parts like the toggle string and poppers are not yet recycled, the company is committed to finding sustainable alternatives and ensuring the ponchos effectively protect against rain.
ETHICAL TRADE
365 Dry started in Bali, Indonesia, with a focus on supporting the local community by managing operations and manufacturing in Asia. They provide fair wages, invest locally, and work with suppliers to improve working conditions. Their program follows the Ethical Trading Initiative Base Code, which is based on International Labour Organisation standards.
SUSTAINABLE MANUFACTURING
The company values working with partners who align with their business principles and commitment to sustainability. Although production methods in Asia may not be as advanced, the company chooses to support and educate local producers on sustainable practices. This decision avoids the environmental impact of long-distance transportation and fosters a more significant, positive change.
They use 100% recycled paper for hangtags, avoiding plastic coatings to ensure recyclability. Additionally, the ponchos are packed in reusable and fully recyclable PP non-woven bags made from 100% recycled plastics.
GIVING BACK
365 Dry follows a 1-1-1 philanthropy model, where they contribute 1% of their profit, 1% of their product, and 1% of their employees' time to meaningful causes. They donate 1% of their annual profit to a selected charity, provide at least 1% of their products to various good causes, and encourage employees to use 1% of their paid time for volunteering with charities or nonprofits. Employees have used this time for activities such as beach cleanups, education for the underprivileged, and supporting fundraising efforts. The company believes adopting this model from the start helps them grow their impact as they expand.
