Cafe Vida treads lightly on the earth, striving for a minimal environmental footprint. Set within a traditional Balinese living compound with an outdoor garden, the cafe offers customers a taste of Balinese culture and encourages them to reconnect with nature. The water from their fish pond is recycled to nourish the garden and plants, further emphasizing their commitment to sustainability.
WASTE MANAGEMENT
Cafe Vida emphasizes sustainability by serving fresh Balian mineral water in recycled glass bottles and creating their own botanical healing drinks, avoiding plastic bottles entirely. They use stainless steel straws, wash cloth napkins onsite with natural detergents, and support a local charity by using recycled bottles for drinking glasses and table lights. The cafe offers eco-friendly, recyclable, and biodegradable takeaway containers and cutlery. They minimize kitchen waste by composting organic matter for local farmers and educate staff, customers, and suppliers about reducing plastic use and environmental impact.
